Merowe and Roseires dams in Sudan

Global infrastructure has undergone a rapid transformation and rural electrification is a critical driver of progress for underserved developing nations. Sudan has one of the lowest electrification levels in Africa, with many rural areas being disconnected from grids. The Merowe and Roseries dams were built to generate hydro electric power and electricity intended development of the country.

Arab Development Portal

In collaboration with national and regional development institutions, the Islamic Development Bank and the OPEC Fund for International Development, and the United Nations Development Programme, ACG launched Arab Development Portal in 2016.

Smart Education Financing

Equitable access to education in a developing country boosts economic growth and provides the opportunity for a brighter future for next generation. ACG has allocated US$ 350 million towards Smart Education Financing in collaboration with the Global Partnership for Education. The ACG SmartEd facility aims to educate 175 million children in 37 countries, with a vision to enrol the first 88 million children in school by 2025.
